Job Description
System Integration Engineer
Our client is seeking a System Integration Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in North Phoenix, AZ. This will be a heavy travel role of 30-40% but they would like the candidate to be stationed in the Phoenix area with most of the work being in North Phoenix.
Systems Integration is responsible for deploying, integrating, and supporting advanced software solutions for semiconductor inspection systems in customer manufacturing environments. This role serves as a critical liaison between product development and customer operations, ensuring successful software deployment, system integration, and technical support throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and customer personnel, the FDE helps optimize system performance, resolve complex technical issues, and contribute to the successful adoption of advanced inspection technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Deployment & System Integration
  • Install, configure, and validate machine control and (High-Performance Computing) HPC software at customer sites and remote locations.
  • Support system commissioning, software upgrades, and production releases.
  • Verify system functionality and ensure successful integration with customer manufacturing environments.
Factory Automation Integration
  • Develop, configure, and maintain software interfaces with customer Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Equipment Automation Program (EAP) environments.
  • Support communication using semiconductor industry standards, including SECS/GEM protocols.
  • Collaborate with customer automation teams to ensure reliable system connectivity and data exchange.
System Troubleshooting & Technical Support
  • Diagnose and resolve software, networking, database, and system integration issues in production environments.
  • Investigate system performance, communication latency, and hardware/software interactions to minimize downtime.
  • Provide timely technical support for customer issues both remotely and on-site.
R&D Collaboration
  • Document field issues, software defects, customer requirements, and system enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and product engineering teams to reproduce issues and validate solutions.
  • Provide feedback to improve product quality, usability, and deployment efficiency.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities
  • Document installation procedures, technical issues, and customer support activities.
  • Participate in system testing, software validation, and release verification.
