Position Summary
The Fab Engineering New Technology team at Samsung Austin Semiconductor comprises engineers from various Fab engineering unit parts that support NTI strategic initiatives for the company.
In this role, Engineers complement our Process Integration engineering team to develop, strengthen, and ultimately qualify processes that provide solutions for our customer's critical needs.
In your role, you'll be responsible for production qualification of new processes including idea proposal, experimental execution, data analysis. Our team ensures new processes can meet high quality and robust manufacturability needed to support high volume Semiconductor Foundry manufacturing.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
The Wet Clean Process Development Engineer is engaged in supporting critical process development, process engineering in order to make new legacy technologies viable for high volume manufacturing.
  • Engineering solutions for cleans and wet-etch processes under production development and qualification.
  • Process uniformity improvements.
  • Defect improvements.
  • Process optimization for manufacturing.
  • Process margin evaluation.

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Minimum 10 years of Engineering experience in Semiconductor manufacturing or process development with an emphasis on Cleans and Wet Etch processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of process fundamentals and volume manufacturing challenges are a must.
  • Track record of continuous improvement in Cleans/Wets engineering processes.
  • Prior experience with DNS SU3XXX model is strongly desired
  • Strong Data analysis skills are essential.
  • Must be capable in conveying complex engineering concepts clearly to non-expert audiences.

The current base salary range for this role is between $109,050 - $212,650. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
