About the Role
The Controls Engineering Intern will be part of the Platform Controls Engineering team and support a variety of control and robotic system projects. This role offers exposure to realworld engineering challenges in a collaborative, fastpaced environment while building foundational skills in motion control and automation.

What You'll Do

  • Support new and existing robot control projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.

  • Perform robot testing, data collection, and analysis.

  • Maintain organized data logs and document test results and observations.

  • Apply engineering standards, tools, and best practices throughout project work.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Ability to work onsite in the Beverly, MA area.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Basic knowledge of robotics, motion control, and electrical engineering fundamentals.

  • Working programming experience with tools such as MATLAB and/or LabVIEW.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (or strong willingness to learn).

  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Selfmotivated with the ability to operate in a dynamic, fastpaced, teamoriented environment.

  • Passion for engineering design and development.

  • Willingness to perform handson laboratory work and lift items greater than 30 lbs as needed.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$20.00 - $30.00

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on

multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work

location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as

you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the

Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular

employees working 20+ hours a week).
