Job description

Electrical Engineer – Contract Opportunity (9+ Months)

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a long-term 9+ month contract engagement supporting the development of advanced automation and control systems. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on prototype development, testing, debugging, and documentation for sophisticated motion and control platforms.

We are seeking an engineer with strong experience in industrial automation, robotics, motion control, and custom machine environments. Candidates from semiconductor manufacturing/FAB environments, automation manufacturing, or custom machinery industries are highly desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and debug electrical prototypes for complex control systems
  • Develop and troubleshoot analog, digital, and power circuitry
  • Work with analog-to-digital converters, PLCs (including custom/homegrown systems), automation controls, and robotics platforms
  • Support motion control systems involving servo, stepper, and DC motors
  • Perform system-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis across integrated hardware platforms
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, schematics, test procedures, and technical reports
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including software, mechanical, manufacturing, and controls engineers
  • Contribute to the development of cost-effective, production-ready solutions

Qualifications:

  • Strong circuit design experience spanning power, analog, and digital systems
  • Understanding of motor control electronics and motion systems
  • Experience with industrial control systems and prototype development
  • Background working with automation equipment, robotics, semiconductor manufacturing/FAB systems, or custom machinery
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in both lab and production environments
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
