We are currently looking for a Senior Level Semiconductor Device Modeling Engineer.


You will play a vital role in supporting the Modeling of Radiation Effects (MoRE). This position demands a blend of problem-solving, programming, semiconductor devices physics, magnetics, and foundational circuit design concepts.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop radiation effect aware SPICE models for semiconductors.
  • Leverage available modeling products to conduct TCAD simulations.
  • Implement worst-case analysis scenarios in circuit design while incorporating programming and statistical applications as needed.
  • Attend national radiation conferences.
  • Perform design, development, or review of tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
  • Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.
  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
  • Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
  • 15 plus years of experience
  • Ability to learn and understand nuclear physics related to electron, gamma-ray, and neutron behavior on solid state electronic components.
  • Ability to communicate to broad audiences both technical and non-technical information.
  • Ability to be a team player and receive mentoring from senior engineers and leadership.
  • Working knowledge of various electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, SMUs, etc.)
  • Technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Understanding, familiarity and/or experience with microelectronics devices, LabVIEW, Altium, Printed Circuit Board (PCBs)
  • Aptitude for solving technical problems and creating customer solutions.
  • Understanding of concepts, theories, and methods related to the composition, structure, and properties of microelectronics.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance (Interim Secret required to start) Please note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Active Secret Clearance

Compensation Details:

$120,000-$190,000 annually
