Overall Purpose of Position:
To manage day-to-day Accounts Payable activities for multiple entities, ensuring accurate invoice processing, reconciliations, month-end close support, and timely resolution of AP-related matters.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Process and review AP invoices for multiple entities, including 2-way and 3-way matching, GL coding, and obtaining required approvals in accordance with approval procedures.
  • Support month-end close, including AP accruals, subsequent invoice reviews and reconciliation of outstanding AP items.
  • Resolve AP and invoice discrepancies, including on-hold invoices, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments as needed.
  • Perform AP account reconciliations and cleanup, including vendor statement reconciliations, aged invoices, un-invoiced receipts and other outstanding items.
  • Review applicable invoices to ensure sales and use tax is properly charged or accrued.
  • Monitor open POs and coordinate with buyers to close completed or inactive POs.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing AP documentation
  • Prepare supporting schedules for 1099 reporting.
  • Assist with AP process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 4-5+ years of hands-on Account Payable experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
