Job Summary

Were looking for a Blow and Injection Molding Process Technician to join the Semco Tank Holding team in St Louis, MO! A Process Technician oversees production to ensure consistent quality products and maintains blow molding machinery to produce plastic products. Key responsibilities include adjusting process parameters (temperature, pressure), troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and Operation: Trouble shoot and calibrate molds, adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time), and operate machinery to meet production goals.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and make minor repairs to machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production, inspect, and weigh finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Changeovers: Efficiently change equipment settings for different product lines.
  • Safety & Environment: Maintain a safe, clean work area, and train operators on safe, proper machine handling.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in plastics blow molding of 3-5 years, particularly with machines like Milacron, Graham.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy molds and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of, for example, flashing or improper molding.
