Job Description:
- Receive and review local HAZMAT plans submitted by Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) or Local Emergency Planning Districts (LEPD)
- Schedule virtual meetings with LEPC/LEPD to assist and provide guidance with hazmat response plan reviews.
- Prepare quarterly reports for the MERC Commissioners on the program status
- Attend and participate in conferences and meetings, which may require travel
- Assist in team communication with officer leadership changes of LEPC/LEPD, and/or preferred means of contact
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Director
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Training in emergency plan review and/or exercise development
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Webex, and Adobe applications
- Ability to work independently once trained
