Sterling Engineering is looking for a Seismic Project Manager in Aurora, IL. This opportunity is with a rapidly growing, employee-owned manufacturer that offers excellent career growth, outstanding benefits, and a collaborative team environment.

Job Duties:
  • Manage approximately 18 seismic design projects for commercial construction from kickoff through completion.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables for seismic bracing designs supporting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and construction documents to establish project scope.
  • Coordinate with sales, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process subcontracts, purchase orders, invoices, and material releases.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and progress while ensuring projects are delivered on time.
  • Prepare project reports, schedule of values, and profit/loss reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical support and receive training on seismic design products.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or 2+ years of construction project management experience. Strong construction internships will also be considered for recent graduates.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, and blueprint reading.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and project management software such as Asana is preferred.
  • Experience with BIM, Revit, or AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Seismic design experience is not required and will be provided through training.
  • Must be comfortable working in an onsite office environment and collaborating with customers and internal teams daily.
