A Day in the LifeJob Specific Summary
In this dynamic role on the Plymouth Nathan Lane team, you will be responsible for sustaining and enhancing a variety of production processes. Projects supported in this role can range from capacity expansion, equipment end-of-life replacement, yield improvement, automation, and quality enhancement. This position involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams both inside and outside of the plant.

We're working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.

  • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.

  • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.

  • Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.

  • Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

  • Apply appropriate technical skills and tools, such as DOE, hypothesis testing, capability studies, and lean manufacturing tools, to perform in depth analysis, determine root cause, and identify corrective actions.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • 8 years of experience required

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume medical device manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on exposure to automation technologies such as PLC-controlled equipment, robotics, vision inspection systems, automated assembly, or test systems.

  • Ability to assist with troubleshooting automated equipment issues, including sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and basic electrical components.

  • Experience collecting and reviewing equipment or process data to support yield improvement, downtime reduction, or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prior experience working in a regulated environment (medical device manufacturing preferred).

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$69,600.00 - $104,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
