We are currently looking for a full-time permanent Seed Processing Line Operator, where the main responsibility is to monitor seed line equipment during operations to ensure high quality seed processing and production.ย 

Summary / Purpose:

Monitor seed line equipment during operations to ensure high quality seed processing and production.ย ย 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor seed processing equipment during operations
  • Follow procedures and documentation, communicate clearly during shift change, avoid contamination, and ensure product is tagged correctly
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Inspect and quality check product, verify accuracy
  • Interpret specifications and calibrate machines to reach goals
  • Simultaneously operate multiple pieces of equipment to produce product efficiently
  • Operate systems such as Human Manufacturing Interface (HMI) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)ย 
  • Train and lead temp labor crews in seed processing functions
  • Monitor indicators to assess progress productionย and maintenance needs
  • Drive forklift to move inventory, pallets, and other equipment
  • Ensure company handbook, rules, guidelines, and procedures and safety policies are followedย 
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as needed
  • Work a variable work schedule as neededย 
  • Occasionally travel and/or drive and/or operate a forklift on behalf of the business
  • Meet attendance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated teamwork
  • Strong technical skills
  • Able to become forklift certified
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Production or related experience
  • Experience in agriculture
  • Proficient computer skills
  • SCADA, HMI, and MES experience
  • General working and mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to train others to operate HMI interfacesย ย
