Job description

Job Overview: 

The Security Guard will be completing security-related duties that come with working at the casino and is responsible to keep the company property and assets safe and protected and Secure, along with giving amazing customer service to the patrons. The guard also will be supporting the security supervisors in various security duties and responsibilities. 


Responsibilities and Duties: 

Promotes positive customer service in and around the Casino. 

Answers inquiries and assist patrons when and where possible. 

Maintains constant vigilance to ensure the safety of both patrons and staff. 

Actively communicates with team members and on-shift supervisorsto identify and supply information regarding suspicious activities,individuals, and/or misconduct. 

Actively participates in the removal of individuals deemed undesirable, disruptive and/or underthe influence. 

Escorts of patrons and staff to and from the Casinoupon request. 

Implements fire alarm, bomb threat orrobbery protocols, including full evacuation. 

Responds to security incidents or medical emergencies in a timely fashion. 

Ensures table boxes are distributed to appropriate tables, and boxes have been properly reset and locked by count room staff. Completed once in the evening after the close of table games and once by morning staff, before the casino opens, to prevent mishaps during the table box pull. 

Adheres to good OH&S practices. 

Ensures all irregular, unusual,suspicious,or illegal activities are controlled and reported. 

Ensures the accurate and neat recording of all activities in the appropriate logs and reports. 

Safeguards all confidential information and exercise due care to prevent its improper disclosureor use. 

Maintains and promote good public relations and communications with the Casino's patrons and staff. 

Complies withall company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. 

Ensures all money and chips are safe. 

Completes incident reports as needed. 

Execute duties in a positive and a professional manner. 

Other duties as assigned. 

Seasonal Responsibilities and Duties: Environment Maintenance 

Use assigned PPE and tool to regularly remove snow and ice from patron building access areas. 

Monitoring inclement weather and adhering to a "clearing" schedule or as directed. 

Remove snow and ice from patron entrance area as needed due to inclement weather. 


Education and Experience: 

1 - 3 years of security experience preferred 

1 - 3 years of customer service experience required

Job Requirements:

Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.

Knowledge and ability to clearly explain operating house rules to guests and employees. 

Ability to respond quickly to urgent situations. 

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

Walk/stand/sit - Must be able to walk/stand/sit throughout much of the shift throughout all outlets of the Casino. 

Talk/hear - must be able to detect, determine, identify, observe, inspect, and assess.  This positions frequently communicates with guests and employees throughout the entirety of the shift. Must be able to exchange accurate information and professionalism in these situations.   

Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling. 

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps. 

Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. 

Works in an indoor, fast-paced environment. 

Advanced attention to detail. 

Ability to work under pressure. 

Ability to restrain individuals and/or be involved in physical altercations. 

Ability to operate snow removal devices
