At Paladin Security, we believe that great security starts with great people. We're looking for a dependable, customer-focused Security Guard to join our team at the MHC Brooks Campus.

This is a consistent Monday through Friday evening schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking work-life balance while playing an important role in protecting people and property. Every day, you'll provide exceptional customer service, respond to incidents with professionalism, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for everyone on site.

What You'll Do
  • Patrol the property on foot to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist visitors, staff, and clients.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and medical incidents.
  • De-escalate conflicts professionally and calmly.
  • Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS when necessary.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
  • Monitor site activity and enforce safety policies.
  • Operate communication equipment, including radios and mobile applications.
  • Provide basic first aid when required.
  • Assist with lost-and-found inquiries and general site support.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Alberta Security License (or ability to obtain one before starting).
  • Ability to walk long distances (up to 18-20 km per shift) and climb stairs.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class 5 Alberta Driver's License.
  • Previous experience in security, customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or public service.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Certification.
