Security Technician (Locksmith / Access Control / CCTV / Structured Cabling)

Guardian Safe & Lock LLC is one of the fastest-growing locksmith and security companies in the Houston metropolitan area. We specialize in access control, CCTV, and physical security integration, and we are looking for a motivated Security Technician to grow with us.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security systems and related infrastructure. You will travel to residential, commercial, and industrial job sites performing a variety of services. This position involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work depending on the project.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Installing and servicing access control systems
  • Installing and troubleshooting CCTV surveillance systems
  • Performing locksmith services such as rekeys and hardware installation
  • Running and terminating low-voltage wiring
  • Assisting with networking and system configuration
  • Working alongside construction teams during new builds or renovations

Access control work includes:

  • Installing mag locks, electric strikes, and door hardware
  • Installing and configuring wireless and cloud-based locks
  • Running wire and wiring panels
  • Working with systems such as Brivo, PDK, and RemoteLock

CCTV work includes:

  • Installing surveillance cameras
  • Running and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cabling
  • Configuring NVRs and networked systems
  • Servicing systems such as Hikvision and similar platforms

Structured cabling responsibilities include:

  • Running and terminating low-voltage wiring for security and data systems
  • Following schematics and installation standards
  • Working with telecommunications and network cabling

Locksmith responsibilities include:

  • Rekeying locks and replacing hardware
  • Fresh installation of commercial and residential hardware
  • Lockouts and basic picking
  • Installing electronic and biometric locks
  • Automotive key and remote replacement (a plus)
  • Safe installation, bolt-downs, and service (a plus)

You will also be expected to:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and components
  • Work with alarms, sensors, and security devices
  • Maintain clear documentation of work performed and system configurations

We are open to both experienced technicians and entry-level candidates. Experience in locksmithing, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, low voltage, or networking is a strong plus. However, we are absolutely willing to train the right person from the ground up.
