Position Summary:

The Installation Manager is responsible for leading all installation operations within the assigned region, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to NAVCO's quality standards. This role oversees installation technicians, coordinators, and subcontractors while partnering closely with Sales, Project Management, and Operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams while driving operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Installation Operations

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all installation projects within the assigned region.
  • Schedule installation work with customers while balancing technician availability and project priorities.
  • Manage installation forecasts and provide regular project updates to leadership.
  • Schedule work within CRM systems to ensure equipment delivery and project readiness.
  • Ensure installation projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and closed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor installation schedules and adjust staffing or resources as needed to maintain forecast goals.
  • Receive project materials and reconcile inventory to support accurate monthly billing.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise installation technicians, installation coordinators, and subcontractors throughout the region.
  • Provide field leadership, hands-on training, mentoring, and quality control inspections.
  • Support technician development through coaching, performance management, and career path planning.
  • Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Customer & Project Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for installation-related customer concerns and escalations.
  • Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders regarding project schedules, progress, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure projects are properly scoped and transitioned into Operations.
  • Resolve installation challenges quickly while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met throughout the installation lifecycle.

Operational & Quality Support

  • Coordinate project resources, materials, and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, installation records, and operational reporting.
  • Perform field quality assurance inspections to ensure installations meet NAVCO standards.
  • Support process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Assist with additional operational initiatives and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of installation experience within the electronic security industry.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing installation teams.
  • Experience managing commercial security system installations including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and related technologies.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or additional education preferred.
