Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay: $20–$23 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule 1: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Schedule 2: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Licensed SORA Security Officer to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This position combines security responsibilities with high-level concierge service, making it ideal for someone who is alert, personable, and experienced in working in residential or commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will have a valid New Jersey SORA guard license and prior experience in a luxury OR corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming and professional presence at the front desk or lobby
  • Monitor building access and verify visitors, vendors, and deliveries
  • Maintain detailed visitor and incident logs
  • Conduct routine patrols of the property as required
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or resident concerns
  • Coordinate with property management and emergency services when necessary
  • Accept and manage packages and deliveries
  • Enforce building rules, policies, and safety procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey SORA Security Guard License (REQUIRED)
  • Prior CLASS A BUILDING OR MILITARY EXPIRIENCE (REQUIRED)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills for logging and reporting
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in residential high-rise or luxury property settings
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Bilingual is a plus
