Graveyard Security Officer – Front Desk / Patrol

Position: Security Officer – Graveyard Shift
Job Type: Full-Time / Overnight
Work Environment: Front Desk & Patrol

We are seeking a dependable and professional Graveyard Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage. This position combines front desk responsibilities with hourly security patrols and requires an officer who is comfortable using technology, remaining alert throughout the night, and walking for extended periods.

Scope of Work
  • Maintain a professional security presence at the front desk.

  • Monitor the property and remain alert for suspicious or unauthorized activity.

  • Conduct security patrols every hour.

  • Successfully scan/hit all 30 designated checkpoints during each required patrol.

  • Document patrol activity, incidents, safety concerns, and unusual activity using the required reporting system.

  • Monitor and appropriately respond to security-related issues.

  • Follow all site post orders, emergency procedures, and company policies.

  • Maintain professional communication with management, employees, visitors, and emergency personnel.

  • Complete accurate and timely Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports as required.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Possess a current and valid California Guard Card.

  • Have experience and confidence using technology, mobile devices, security applications, and electronic reporting systems.

  • Be physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods of time.

  • Be able to complete hourly patrols throughout the graveyard shift.

  • Have reliable transportation to and from the job site.

  • Be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Be able to remain awake, attentive, and observant throughout the overnight shift.

  • Successfully complete a 10-panel drug screening as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable law.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently overnight, and understands the importance of completing every required patrol and checkpoint. We are looking for an officer who takes accountability seriously and can maintain both excellent front desk coverage and consistent patrol performance.
