Job description

Project Manager – Physical Security SystemsBiztec LLC

Department: Operations / Project Management Reports to: Operations Manager / Director of Operations

Location: [City, State] — Field / Office

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 base + performance bonuses | Target total earnings $85,000–$120,000

About the Role

Biztec LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of commercial physical security installations from kickoff through closeout. In this role, you'll own the full project lifecycle — scope, schedule, budget, and quality — for integrated security systems including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and structured cabling.

You'll be the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, field technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, coordinating all moving parts to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the standard our customers expect. This role is ideal for someone with a strong blend of technical system knowledge and hands-on construction project management experience who thrives on ownership and accountability.

What You'll Do

Manage the full lifecycle of physical security and low-voltage installation projects from pre-construction and design coordination through commissioning and closeout.

Own project scope, schedule, labor hours, cost control, and profitability for assigned projects.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping stakeholders informed and expectations aligned. Coordinate field technicians, installers, and subcontractors, and sequence work with other trades on active job sites. Conduct site surveys and walkthroughs; verify site readiness and resolve field issues.

Manage procurement and material readiness — ordering, tracking, and staging equipment to meet the installation schedule. Identify, price, and manage change orders, scope gaps, and design impacts.

Track project progress and financials in the project management / PSA system; prepare budget updates, cost-to-completion, and variance reporting.

Ensure work meets quality standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes. Enforce safety practices and compliance on every job site.

Lead project closeout: documentation, as-builts, client training/handoff, and final billing coordination.

What You Bring

Required

Active ELE (Electrical) License, Low Voltage License, and Alarm License.

3–5 years of project management or coordination experience in physical security, low-voltage, structured cabling, or construction-adjacent projects.

Working technical knowledge of access control, video surveillance (CCTV/IP), and intrusion/alarm systems. Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, and profitability.

Experience coordinating technicians, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and client scheduling.

Familiarity with site surveys, cabling pathways, door hardware coordination, permitting, and inspections.

Proficiency with project management or PSA platforms (e.g., MS Project, Procore, ConnectWise) and Microsoft Office. Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites within the assigned territory.

Preferred

Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or similar).

Industry or technical certifications (NICET, OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer certifications such as software-based access control platforms). Knowledge of BICSI standards and applicable NEC, NFPA, and ADA / local AHJ codes.

Experience in commercial, healthcare, education, or institutional environments.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $75,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.

Bonuses: Performance and project-completion bonuses tied to on-time, on-budget delivery and profitability — target total earnings of

$85,000–$120,000+, with strong performers earning more. Health, dental, and vision insurance.

401(k)

Paid time off and holidays.

Company vehicle provided.

Ongoing product training, certifications, and career-advancement opportunities.
