POSITION TITLE: Resort Events Security Representative
DEPARTMENT: Security
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H9-Non-Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Work Permit--Green
REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor
SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting in the execution of resort functions in various locations. Additional duties include performance of ambassador guest service functions, parking and on property traffic detail.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, out-going manner
  • Direct guests and provide information in a fast and friendly manner
  • Explain and answer questions regarding the property, casino Promotions, Special Events, Entertainment, and the benefits of the Total Rewards card program in a friendly manner
  • When working Promotions, Special Events and Entertainment, employee must create fun and exciting environment for the guests
  • Provide and maintain service standards to guests as set by department
  • Patrol parking lots (Per approval of Risk Management); direct traffic; assist with valet parking
  • Other duties as required
  • Adhere to regulatory departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license required with no more than one (1) DUI convictions or 3 or more moving violations, 3 or more traffic citation convictions in the past 3 years (from date of conviction) or conviction for suspension or conviction for at fault accident within the last 3 years required
  • Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
  • Must be able to operate at a fast pace environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to get along with co-workers and work as a contributing member of a team
  • Able to receive and accept direction and instruction in a positive and cooperative manner
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Willing to learn and be adaptable
  • Attention to detail/observant
  • Comfortable under surveillance
  • Complete knowledge of all internal controls

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to be on feet/stand/sit for an 8-hour shift
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, stand, and grip items
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to maneuver in all areas of the casino and hotel
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including secondhand smoke
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
