A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Hospital Sisters Health System(HSHS) is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. The Security Officer position serves as a visible and professional presence, helping ensure a safe and secure environment across HSHS facilities. Often the first or last point of contact for patients, visitors, and colleagues, the Security Officer is expected to respond calmly and courteously to all situations while upholding safety protocols and supporting a positive care experience.

Schedule: Night shift, Full-time, 6:00pm-6:00am

Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or related field is required.

  • High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training plus 3 years of experience as a security officer, law enforcement, or military may be considered in lieu of an Associates degree.

Experience Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience with knowledge of private security functions obtained through education or work experience such as military, public safety or fire department is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Valid state driver's license is required.

  • MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) training/certification is required at hire or within 90-days of date of hire.

  • Successfully complete the Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Certification within the first 90 days of employment is preferred.
