Security Manager - Personnel Security/Childcare Background Check Program The Security Manager provides personnel security program support to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery N45 Mission Assurance Office, with a primary focus on Childcare Background Check programs. This position supports the development, implementation, and oversight of suitability adjudication processes, criminal history checks, compliance tracking, reporting, and policy development in accordance with Department of Defense and Office of Personnel Management requirements. In this role you will....

Develop and maintain Childcare Background Check standard operating procedures and concepts of operations Support development and maintenance of a Childcare Background Check tracking database Track annual certifications and five-year reinvestigation requirements Prepare monthly investigation status and performance summaries Support compliance reviews and policy updates Additional duties as assigned Experience Requirements: Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting Department of Defense or federal personnel security programs Demonstrated experience with: Suitability adjudication processes Criminal history background investigations Personnel security compliance and reporting Completion of Office of Personnel Management Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators course Strong written and oral communication skills.
