A Brief Overview

The position manages the Product Security Program, encompassing both product security and application security domains. As Sr. Manager, you will manage a team and lead the execution of secure software delivery, champion DevSecOps practices, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed security throughout every phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering innovation, building resilience, and cultivating a proactive, shift-left security culture across our organization.

What you will do

  • Lead the Product Security Program, setting strategy and execution plans. 
  • Drive transformation and modernization by embedding security-by-design principles into technology platforms and development workflows. 
  • Build, lead, and mentor a diverse, high-performing security team focused on secure software development, threat modeling, and secure architecture. 
  • Provide strong people leadership, fostering growth, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Develop and maintain secure coding standards, threat modeling frameworks, and security architecture reviews. 
  • Lead the adoption of cloud-native security, software supply chain controls, and modern DevSecOps practices across all development environments. 
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across engineering, DevOps, and product teams to influence product roadmaps and the integration of security into CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Oversee vulnerability management, code scanning, and remediation processes for all software products and applications. 
  • Drive adoption of security tooling and automation, including SAST, DAST, container scanning, and secrets management. 
  • Manage security training and awareness programs for developers and product managers. 
  • Report on key metrics (KRIs/KPIs) to key stakeholders that inform executive decisions and demonstrate program effectiveness. 
  • Monitor emerging threats and ensure proactive defenses are in place to protect our software assets. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and inclusion within the security program. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity.

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 8+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5+ years leading product security teams. 
  • Proven track record building and scaling secure software programs for SaaS, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures. 
  • Deep understanding of secure software development, OWASP, threat modeling, BSIMM, and modern DevSecOps practices. 
  • Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, IAST, container scanning, secrets management, and supply chain security. 
  • Experienced in operating within a global environment, collaborating across distributed teams.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $125,000.00 to $275,000.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta.  All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company's discretion. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan.
