SUMMARY:  The Security Business Development Manager (BDM) will have commanding knowledge of our building security product line, primarily card access control and video management systems but also emerging services and technologies in the industry.  BDM will promote sophisticated, integrated solutions and products while building relationships with IT and Facilities Managers and Executives within various markets in order to sell security solutions and service agreements in the Wilmington and surrounding Eastern North Carolina Markets.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and expand business with large existing and new commercial accounts
  • Communicate customer needs to other business units to facilitate business growth
  • Call on individuals responsible for purchasing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions and related equipment
  • Consistently achieve sales quota
  • Maintain and manage a healthy funnel through current CRM system 
  • Achieve all proposal activity metrics assigned by management 
  • Surveys sites for equipment installation and/or maintenance requirements
  • Prepares quotes, proposals, service contracts, and documents to complete a sale
  • Provides service, service contracts, equipment, parts, etc. to satisfy the customer's requirements
  • Provides needed information to the Engineering and Service Department to ensure jobs are completed on time
  • Works with all Brady Sales teams and internal staff to assist with marketing and sales
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required

  • Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

  • Provide responsive, professional and diplomatic customer service
  • Answer customer calls and correspondence quickly and pleasantly
  • Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner
  • Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Immediately address any customer's concern and requests the involvement of other Company personnel as required

  • Follow all company safety programs and report any non-compliance to your Supervisor
  • Notify Supervisor or Safety Manager of any unsafe conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college and at least five years of business-to-business sales.

Driver's License, proof of insurance

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
