Job description

As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer criminal history background check, physical examination and drug screen. All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for providing security to the Unified Government buildings, employees and citizens. Duties include ensuring: all employees meet training goals and standards, all posts are adequately staffed with appropriate equipment, security operations are properly scheduled in advance with sufficient staff, inventory of equipment is maintained and in working order, staff is providing a high level of security and assurance of safety for employees and visitors, all written documents are provided as required and checked for completeness and accuracy, and report all significant incidents as required to the Asset Protection Commander.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to pass basic security course and pass semi-annual weapons qualifications. Course involves handcuffing, responding to active threats and defensive tactics. Must qualify with a Conducted Electrical Weapon (Taser). Preferred qualifications include knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including those pertaining to search and seizure, as well as knowledge in security procedures, methods, and protocol or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must be 18 years of age and have a Valid Driver's License at the time of application.
$25.86 - 34.61 per hour
