Security Site Director

Security Director

Location: North Kingstown, RI

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (On-Call 24/7)

Salary: $60,000 Annually

Position Overview

SMSSI is seeking an experienced and professional Security Director to oversee security operations at a major client site in North Kingstown, RI. The Security Director serves as the primary point of contact for both the client and assigned security personnel, ensuring contract compliance, staff supervision, and the consistent delivery of exceptional security services.

This leadership position works closely with SMSSI Operations and Branch Management to maintain staffing, performance standards, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client, site personnel, and SMSSI management.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop site security staff.
  • Ensure compliance with post orders, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, training, and employee development.
  • Investigate incidents, complete reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
  • Respond to site emergencies and operational issues on an on-call basis.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of security supervisory or management experience required.
  • Security management, law enforcement, military leadership, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to pass criminal background and motor vehicle record checks.
