Job Summary

DSI Security Services is currently hiring a Control Center Officer for a high-profile client location. This position plays a critical role in monitoring security operations, dispatching emergency response personnel, maintaining communication systems, and supporting site safety and emergency procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and solid computer proficiency.

Schedule

We have a range of day shift, mid-shift, night shift.

The majority of our open shifts are 8 or 12 hours, full time 40 hour work week.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor and document security alarms, fire alarms, emergency notifications, and routine service calls
• Dispatch security and emergency personnel as needed
• Operate radio communication systems for internal security operations and emergency coordination
• Monitor CCTV systems and remote cameras
• Respond appropriately to emergency and non-emergency situations
• Receive and relay routine and emergency telephone calls
• Maintain visitor control records and related documentation
• Complete security and emergency service reports accurately and professionally
• Enforce site access procedures and security regulations
• Support emergency response efforts including fire, medical, weather, and hazardous material incidents
• Monitor severe weather and lightning detection systems
• Conduct patrols and assist with additional security assignments as needed
• Cross-train at additional security posts and positions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous security, dispatch, control center, or emergency communications experience preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings
