Job description

Overview
Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Network Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2's) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).
This is a full-time position located on-site at Scott Air Force Base (SAFB), in Belleville, IL.
*** This position is contingent upon contract award.***
Responsibilities
  • Provide Network Tier 1 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command's (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
  • Provide Network Tier 1 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
  • Coordinate network requirements with users and sites and perform system administration tasks on Microsoft Active Directory networks.
  • Operate Government-furnished equipment software suites (i.e., SolarWinds) to provide real-time usable statistics to aid with troubleshooting.
  • Comply with and support the Air Force Network Operations Center (AFNOC), Network Operations Division (NOD), 26th Network Operations Group (NOG), Detachment 2, and the AFNOC Network Security Division (NSD), AF Computer Response Team (AFCERT).

Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance
Certifications:
  • DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
  • CompTIA Network Plus (Network+)

Education: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of directly related experience
Additional Experience: SolarWinds software suites
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Years of Experience: Three (3) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline
Additional Information:
Location: Scott Air Force Base (SAFB), in Belleville, IL
On-site: Full-time on-site position
Travel: 10% travel may be required
