Position Summary:
The Physical Security Operations (PSO) Analyst provides 24x7 support to plan and respond to enterprise-wide crises or emergency situations impacting our facilities, employees, customers, or assets. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and security of our organization through analysis, escalated monitoring, incident management, and effective communication. The PSO Analyst supports Physical Security Operations groups, including Protection Services, Security Systems, and Regulatory. This role involves both virtual and in-person responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Holistic Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure the safety and security of the organization. Implement as directed, comprehensive risk management strategies to address potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Threat Intelligence and Response: Coordinate with Protection Services, Threat Intelligence, electrical operations units, and other relevant groups to resolve high or critical severity level incidents. Facilitate all layers of the Common Operating Picture. Perform critical analysis of escalations from event triage to incident escalation.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and governance standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and assist as directed, with necessary measures to adhere to these standards.
  • Incident Response and Business Continuity: Provide operational support through analysis. Identify and respond to enterprise-level events, incidents, or crises. Support enterprise response processes and facilitate all incident phases, including identification, containment, remediation, and post-incident activities. Operate with a sense of urgency and focus during high-impact events.
  • Security Awareness and Culture: Deliver training, workshops, and other outreach activities to business units to enhance their understanding and preparedness for security incidents. Promote a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
  • Communication: Deliver key communications to affected business areas, the enterprise response team, and senior leadership during major incidents. Effectively communicate incident specifics to internal and external partner groups to achieve timely incident collaboration, containment and mitigation. Drive efficiencies from operations to leadership.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Provide ad-hoc reporting and dashboard metrics of incidents or events impacting the enterprise. Offer technical support for users of the Common Operating Picture.
  • On-Site Assessments: Assist and provide on-site assessments when requested to ensure the security and safety of personnel, facilities and operations.
  • Physical Security Investigational Support: Support field and investigative personnel by providing analysis of video, reports, case management databases and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) information to aid in the resolution of security investigations. Provide products, such as standardized assessments and other relevant materials, in support of consultations, investigations, and other information-gathering activities.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the overall security and safety objectives of the organization.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of operational experience
  • An understanding of threat and incident management in triage, containment, escalation and mitigation
  • Solid understanding and experience using event escalation and reporting procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation and to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, experience in effective communication with executive leadership is desirable
  • Understanding of FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS/ICS) including emergency management certifications or training is desirable
  • Experience in and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to support a 24/7 security command center

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $73,700.00 to $104,633.00 per year
