The Opportunity
This role works directly with U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) stakeholders, Mission Assurance professionals, operational planners, military service representatives, combatant command staffs, and government and contractor leadership supporting mission-critical operations. It is an opportunity to apply Mission Assurance expertise to identify, assess, communicate, and mitigate risks affecting mission execution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise.
Work is primarily performed on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, supporting the USTRANSCOM Mission Assurance Team in a dynamic, mission-focused environment. This position is designated Mission Essential and requires compliance with established USTRANSCOM mission requirements.

Position Summary
C5T is seeking an MA Operations Analyst I to support the USTRANSCOM Mission Assurance Team and the Command's Mission Assurance Operations Branch. This position serves as a member of an integrated, cross-functional team responsible for synchronizing risk management activities across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise and providing actionable risk information to senior decision-makers.
The MA Operations Analyst supports Mission Assurance activities including Mission Decomposition, Risk to Mission and Risk to Force assessments, Continuity of Operations Planning, Emergency Management, Information Operations, Mission Assurance Assessments, policy and governance reviews, and the integration of cyber risk across Mission Assurance programs and activities.
Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces based on mission requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Mission Assurance Operations Branch activities in a demanding, dynamic, and time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Conduct and support Risk to Mission and Risk to Force assessments to identify, analyze, and communicate risks affecting mission execution.
  • Support Mission Assurance Common Operational Picture requirements and the development of actionable risk information for Command decision-makers.
  • Facilitate and support Mission Assurance Working Groups, including coordination, analysis, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Monitor Mission Assurance activities and develop reports, briefings, and other products supporting operational awareness and senior leader decision-making.
  • Support Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Mission Assurance activities.
  • Support the Vendor Threat Mitigation Program and associated risk identification, assessment, coordination, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with Mission Decomposition and analysis of mission dependencies, vulnerabilities, and potential operational impacts.
  • Support Continuity of Operations Planning, Emergency Management, Information Operations, policy and governance reviews, and Mission Assurance Assessments as required.
  • Integrate cyber-related risks and considerations into Mission Assurance activities and assessments.
  • Coordinate Mission Assurance issues and activities across military services, combatant commands, government organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop analytical products, reports, briefings, and recommendations for government leadership and senior executives.
  • Adapt to changes in operational tempo and priorities across Mission Assurance Operations task areas as directed by the Global Operations Center Chief, TCJ3 Director, USTRANSCOM Commander, and other Command leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process and program improvement and support implementation of approved improvements.
  • Maintain readiness to support Mission Essential requirements in accordance with established USTRANSCOM policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret security clearance and continued eligibility for access to classified information.
  • Four years of direct Mission Assurance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Experience supporting Mission Assurance, operational risk management, mission analysis, or related Department of Defense activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional time-management, organization, and task-prioritization skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, operationally focused, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, military personnel, contractors, and cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to develop professional analytical products, reports, presentations, and briefings.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or one of its Component Commands.
  • Experience coordinating Mission Assurance or operational issues across multiple military services and combatant command staffs.
  • Experience conducting or supporting Risk to Mission and Risk to Force assessments.
  • Experience with Mission Assurance Working Groups, Common Operational Picture requirements, or Mission Assurance activity monitoring and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems activities and associated mission risks.
  • Familiarity with vendor threat mitigation or supply chain/vendor risk activities.
  • Experience integrating cyber risk into Mission Assurance assessments, planning, or operational decision-making.
  • Experience supporting Continuity of Operations Planning, Emergency Management, Mission Assurance Assessments, or related resilience activities.
  • Confidence developing and briefing analytical products and recommendations to senior executives and General Officer-level leadership.
