Job Description
As a Security Officer Apartment Complex Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random vehicle and/or foot patrols throughout residential community areas, parking locations, building exteriors, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and vehicle activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while communicating professionally with residents, guests, property staff, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
