Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
  • Device Check: Scanning tag on the back of approved employee devices, Reading persons IMEI on phone making sure it matches the sticker or paperwork provided for the approved device.
  • North Dock: Monitoring trash dump for theft attempts, opening and closing dock doors, tracking outbound trucks, counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring open dock doors as they are being loaded. monitoring special projects during peak season
  • South Dock: Counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring special projects during peak season, sending and receiving emails, typing truck information , and monitoring open dock doors. open and close dock doors
  • Metal Detector: Checking devices in and out; only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork are allowed. Making sure visitors clear through the x-ray. Watching the X-Ray machine, making sure everyone clears through the X-Ray. Making sure no prohibited items enter the building.
  • Rover: Will be walking throughout the area to assist in deterring theft attempts
  • Tracker: Keeps track of all high value loads via computer software.

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:
  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Non-commissioned/unarmed security license via DOPL
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Monitoring and surveillance experience
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:
• Bi-lingual considered a plus
