Summary of Duties:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards. Present a well-groomed appearance that reflects the professional image of the Security Department. 


Position Purpose:

To provide outstanding Customer Service for our guests, as well as safeguarding our guests, employees, and Casino assets. 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Providing the highest level of Customer Service to all guests.
  • Implement the casino's 5-10 rule to the standard expected.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of security policies and procedures, as well as drop & count and emergency procedures.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with coworkers.
  • Communicating any departmental issues or concerns to the Security Manager and/or Director of Surveillance and Security. 
  • Responding in a timely matter to requests for a security officer.
  • Implementing appropriate de-escalation and conflict resolution tactics when needed.
  • Complying with departmental policies and procedures regarding the use of physical force and/or restraint as a last resort to preserve the safety and security of our guests and employees. 
  • Performing perimeter checks inside/outside of the facility as directed.
  • Providing security for the transport of funds and other actions which may require an escort. 
  • Composing detailed reports regarding incidents that may occur on property.
  • Monitoring the behaviors and actions of guests consuming alcohol for signs of intoxication. Provide courteous, discreet, and safe removal of intoxicated guests to ensure public safety. 
  • Providing CPR and first aid when necessary.
  • Familiarizing yourself with casino events and promotions in order to accurately inform guests. 
  • Complete any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18. 
  • High School diploma required. 
  • 1 year of prior experience in a related field preferred. 
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain Gaming License
  • CPR certification (company provided)
  • Must possess sufficient problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Position involves prolonged standing and walking.
  • Work is performed in a casino or outdoor environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and/or temperature. 
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to safely drive a company vehicle on request.
  • Must possess the ability to rationally and responsibly act in response to emergency/life-threatening situations. This includes sufficient knowledge in use of force techniques and when they should be utilized.

Licensing:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.

Work Requirements:

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
