Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Professionals in Waterloo , Ontario. 

Job Title: Security Professional - Full Time 

Job Location: Waterloo, ON

Pay Rate: $20.29 per hour 

Strong and flexible availability across all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, overnights, and weekends required. 

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals in Waterloo, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, able to work night shifts, a professional demeanor, and willing to work with a dynamic team.

Requirement:

  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm  .
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Valid Ontario security guard license
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada for  40 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

  • Monitor and control access to the site.
  • Maintain a polished, professional, and customer-friendly presence at all times.
  • Handle conflicts, incidents, and difficult situations using effective de-escalation skills.
  • Conduct indoor and outdoor patrols while following site protocols and post orders, including monitoring customer and guest movement throughout the property.
  • Ensure all safety and emergency procedures are followed during fire alarms and other site emergencies.
  • Complete all site-specific training and follow guidance provided by the Site Supervisor or Manager.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and decision-making skills during emergencies and incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV equipment, and complete all required training programs.
