How you create impact

The Security Manager leads all aspects of physical security, loss prevention, and risk management within a high-volume sort center operating under a 4PL model. Working in close partnership with the National Security Manager, this role ensures the protection of people, assets, and operations while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and customer requirements.

This position collaborates with 4PL partners, internal teams, and external stakeholders to manage risk in a fast-paced, high-turnover logistics environment and ensures alignment with company-wide security standards and practices.

Site Security Management
Develop and execute site-wide security strategies aligned with corporate standards.
Oversee access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, and guard services.
Ensure effective security coverage across all shifts.

Loss Prevention & Asset Protection
Reduce theft, shrinkage, and cargo loss through proactive controls.
Safeguard inventory, equipment, and sensitive materials.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

4PL Security Oversight
Ensure third-party providers meet contractual security requirements and SOPs.
Conduct audits of security practices and performance.
Serve as escalation point for vendor-related security issues.

Incident Management & Investigations
Lead investigations into incidents, compliance breaches, and workplace issues.
Document findings and coordinate with HR and legal as needed.
Maintain accurate reporting and incident logs.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Conduct ongoing risk assessments across operations and facilities.
Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Audit
Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
Support audit readiness and track corrective actions to closure.

Emergency Preparedness & Response
Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
Lead drills and act as site lead during security-related incidents.

Access Control & Workforce Security
Manage employee, contractor, and visitor access processes.
Oversee credentialing and onboarding security requirements with HR.

Training & Awareness
Deliver security training and awareness programs.
Promote a strong, security-first culture across teams and partners.

Reporting & Analytics
Monitor and report on key security KPIs (incidents, shrinkage, access violations).
Provide insights and recommendations to improve performance.

National Security Projects
Support broader security initiatives, including planning, vendor management, and project execution.
