Security management refers to the process of identifying an organization's assets, developing and implementing policies and procedures to protect those assets, and monitoring risks to ensure ongoing safety. This includes managing physical security, information security, personnel security, and often compliance with laws and regulations. Security managers coordinate efforts to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage, and respond to incidents when they occur.
