Job description

Position Summary ** This is not a remote position, Office is based in Austin Texas.
The Project Manager provides direct oversight and control of system upgrade and security integration projects at client work locations. Plans, schedules, coordinates and executes security projects from initial requirements definition through project test, turnover and subsequent warranty support. Responsible for full project profit and loss results on project execution. Responsibilities • Participates in project site surveys, requirements definition and bid and proposal preparations • Develops project schedules to include milestone establishment and staffing coordination • Establishes budgets, track spending and implement cost controls to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded • Develops statements of work and subcontracts for needed support services • Manages procurement timing to maximize cash flow and minimize materials carrying costs • Coordinates for and allocates company resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize conflict with other simultaneous projects • Provides regular project status reports for management review • Reviews and approves labor, material and other direct cost expenditures • Ensures all installation, training, test and turnover milestones are successful and meet schedule • Acts as focal point for all direct interaction with client at project location • Drafts and forwards all project-related correspondence • Participates in all site kick-off, progress review, and test and turnover meetings • Arranges and facilitates meetings with internal and external organizations • Validates invoicing and follows up with clients as needed • Ensures compliance with all applicable code, manufacturer, industry and Company installation and safety standards NOTE: Additional duties may be assigned as the position evolves
Qualifications and Credentials • Demonstrated experience organizing and managing large-scale Electronic Security System projects to profitably and to schedule • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Able to prioritize work, act decisively and complete tasks under time constraints • Proven ability to lead and motivate strong performance from assigned team members • Commitment to quality and customer service • Take ownership of and solve problems • Strong desire for continuous learning, professional education and process improvement Competencies and Abilities • Strong computer skills and a proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project; must be able to learn new applications quickly. • Must be task oriented, self-motivated and possess the inherent ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as team member as well as a team lead. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written • Attention to detail Education Requirements • 7+ years of demonstrated successful performance implementing electronic security systems in government facilities • Bachelor’s degree in business or related technical field preferred • PMP certification desired
Security Clearance • Able to obtain a SECRET and/or TOP SECRET security clearance Travel Required • Available to travel to site locations up to 25%
