Security Installation Technician

As a Security Installation Technician, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional experiences to our valued customers. Responsibilities:

  1. New installations: You will be involved in setting up and installing security systems in residential homes. This includes handling new installations and ensuring all devices are properly connected.

  2. Programming security systems to a central station: You will be responsible for programming the security systems to a central station for effective monitoring and response.

  3. Testing all the devices: You will perform thorough testing of all the security devices to ensure they are functioning properly and providing the expected level of security.

  4. Training the customer: You will provide training and guidance to customers on how to use and operate the security systems effectively.

  5. Retro new wires: You will be involved in retrofitting new wires to existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  6. Keep track of truck stock: You will be responsible for managing and keeping track of the inventory of supplies and equipment in your truck.

  7. Handle daily operational issues that come up for each builder client: You will be the go-to person for resolving any operational issues that arise during the installation and maintenance of security systems for our builder clients.

  8. Security/alarm systems (installing/programming/troubleshooting): You will be proficient in installing, programming, and troubleshooting various security and alarm systems, including popular brands like QOLSYS, Honeywell, DSC, and GE.

  9. CAT5 and RG6 cabling systems (installing/retrofitting/terminating/etc.): You will have experience and expertise in installing, retrofitting, terminating, and managing CAT5 and RG6 cabling systems.

  10. Central vacuum systems, intercom systems (M&S/OnQ): You will also work with central vacuum systems and intercom systems, specifically M&S and OnQ brands.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to manage multiple daily tasks: You should be capable of handling and prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

  2. Excellent verbal/written communication skills: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, team members, and builder clients.

  2. Residential Homebuilding Experience preferred: Experience in residential homebuilding will be advantageous in understanding the specific requirements of our builder clients.

  3. Experience in CCTV, Security systems: Honeywell, DSC, Alarm.com, and GE: Familiarity with security systems from popular brands like Honeywell, DSC, Alarm.com, and GE is highly desirable.

  4. QOLSYS/Alarm.com experience a PLUS: Experience with QOLSYS and Alarm.com systems will be considered a strong asset.

  5. Clean driving record: A clean driving record is required to ensure safe and reliable transportation to job
