We are committed to ensuring a safe environment for our clients, employees, and the public. We are currently seeking reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, controlling access, conducting patrols, observing activities, and reporting incidents. Officers in this role help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and disruptions through professionalism, vigilance, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine foot or vehicle patrols of assigned areas (interior and exterior).

Monitor surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm equipment.

Manage facility access by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and documenting entries.

Observe, identify, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.

Maintain order, protect property, and ensure the safety of employees and visitors.

Prepare accurate and timely daily activity logs and incident reports.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency personnel when necessary.

Follow all company procedures, client protocols, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (Illinois Requirements)

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).

20 Hour Basic Training Certificate.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.

High school diploma or GED.

Two types of identification documents, one of which is a government-issued photo ID.

Be in good physical condition.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous security, customer service, military, or law enforcement experience.

Experience with security technology and reporting systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.

Work Environment

This position involves working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions. Officers must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and follow all safety protocols.
