Job description

Unarmed Security Guard - Parking Lot Patrol

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting Unarmed Security Officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team in Coos Bay, OR.

Position Highlights

  • Pay Rate: $18–$19 per hour – Paid Weekly
  • Daily Pay Available – Access Your Earnings On Demand
  • Unarmed Parking Lot Patrol Position

Prior law enforcement, military, or 1 year of security experience is a plus; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.

Basic Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Clean criminal background
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active cell phone
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability including weekends if needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform routine patrols

Security Officers help prevent and deter crime by:

  • Performing regular and random patrols of assigned premises
  • Monitoring parking areas and surrounding property
  • Reporting incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity
  • Performing access control procedures when required
  • Operating emergency equipment when necessary
  • Documenting daily activities and completing reports
  • Investigating breaches of property

Physical and Mental Job Requirements

  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and be able to respond quickly in emergencies
  • Ability to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle while performing duties
  • Ability to detect and identify sounds related to alarms, emergencies, or persons in distress despite background noise
  • Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, and sit during duties
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if required
  • Must be able to make quick decisions during emergencies
  • Must meet state requirements to obtain and maintain the required Oregon Security Guard license
