Job description

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Dalton, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service, communicate with professionalism, and support daily operations while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, loading zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and/or operational irregularities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify badges, visitor logs, and/or delivery activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Support site rules and reporting processes by observing facility conditions, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and assisting with incident reports, shift handoff notes, and other required records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
