ARMED SECURITY GUARD

Security Manager

Schedule:

Saturday & Sunday, 12-hour shifts (Weekends Only)

Guard Card:

Valid Guard Card, issued within the last 12 months

Position Summary

OM Manufacturing is seeking part-time Armed Security Guards to provide weekend coverage at X Lazy B Ranch. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure environment through visible patrols, access control, and rapid response to incidents during 12-hour weekend shifts. The Armed Security Guard will work closely with the Ranch Director and Security Manager to enforce post orders, monitor the property, and ensure a strong security presence every Saturday and Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol & Site Security

  • Patrol and monitor the property to prevent, detect, and report signs of criminal activity or safety hazards
  • Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence throughout assigned shifts
  • Carry and maintain a firearm in accordance with company policy, training, and applicable state law
  • Respond immediately to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies in accordance with post orders

Access Control & Monitoring

  • Control access points, verify credentials, and screen visitors and vehicles as required
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm, and access control systems where applicable
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary
  • Maintain a detailed log of visitors, deliveries, and unusual activity

Reporting & Compliance

  • Write clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports
  • Maintain a valid Guard Card certification and required firearms permit at all times
  • Follow all post orders, safety protocols, and company policies

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Guard Card certification, issued or renewed within the last 12 months
  • Valid firearms permit/qualification as required by state law
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on both Saturday and Sunday
  • Strong observational skills and sound judgment under pressure
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred

  • Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service
  • Experience with CCTV and access control systems
  • De-escalation or crisis intervention training

Compensation & Benefits

  • $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Consistent weekend schedule — Saturday & Sunday, 12-hour shifts
