GardaWorld Security Services is Now Hiring a Tactical Security Officer. Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard. What matters most in a role like this is your ability to read the environment, anticipate risk, and act accordingly.

Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths. As a Security Officer - Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc. What's in it for you: Site Location: Vernon- Rockville Set schedule: Saturday - Sunday 3 PM to 11 PM Competitive hourly wage of $37.50 / hour A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance options Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities Respond swiftly and professionally to emergency situations, including disturbances, threats, and potential criminal activity

Monitor access points and perform security checks on vehicles and personnel. Maintain a clean motor vehicle record, as you may be required to operate a company vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities. Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as necessary to address incidents or security concerns.

Enforce all company regulations, policies, and procedures while interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Provide detailed written reports, documenting all incidents and observations accurately and in a timely manner. Qualifications Be authorized to work in the U.S

You are 21 years old or older Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED You have a state security license (CT state Blue Card) valid armed endorsement Each armed employee must either be prior law enforcement officer with a minimum of 5 years experience; or a career military, or in law enforcement(e.g., police, corrections, or federal agencies) Have a minimum of six (6) months of armed work experience which may include military and/or law enforcement experience. Pass an LEAI Assessment (62% or higher) Candidate must pass government-required live-fire testing and meet minimum scores as established by the state of Connecticut. Candidate must complete a standard NRA course of fire with eighty percent (80%) proficiency Pass standard GWSS employee physical Pass modified agility exam to include lifting and moving and flexibility testing

(The Kraus Weber Test) Candidate must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). HPE is based on agility, walking, running and lifting Currently have or be able to attain all necessary immunizations Provide personally owned duty weapon (9mm caliber handgun & three (3) magazines of a minimum 10 round capacity Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative. (OC Spray) Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicle Ability to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness First aid certification is an asset Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift In the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work.
