About Method Security

Method Security is dedicated to reshaping cybersecurity in an era where AI-driven threats are growing rapidly. Our mission is to defend critical institutions—such as government, defense, and key commercial sectors—against these sophisticated threats by building cutting‑edge, autonomous defense solutions. We bring together expertise in AI, cybersecurity, and software to create products that seek to finally shift the advantage in security from offense to defense.

Our Team and Values

Joining Method means becoming part of an elite, mission‑driven team that values innovation, transparency, and high standards. We work with purpose, embracing diverse perspectives and experiences while maintaining a high bar for quality. Our team is built around trust, efficiency, and respect. We’re committed to creating an environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully. We believe in small, focused teams capable of tackling complex challenges and achieving outsized results. At Method, you’ll have the autonomy to drive projects forward, the support to navigate challenges, and the opportunity to shape the future of cybersecurity.

Role Overview

As a Security Engineer at Method Security, you will be instrumental in expanding the capabilities of our product, designing tools and workflows that enhance the AI-driven defenses our platform offers. This role requires a unique blend of security engineering expertise and software development skills to build features that turn complex security workflows into solutions our product can leverage autonomously. You’ll work closely with developers and product teams to ensure that the tools and security primitives within our product empower users to handle diverse and evolving cybersecurity challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and extend defensive and offensive security‑focused tools and workflows that enhance the effectiveness of our AI‑driven platform.
  • Develop automated solutions within our product to streamline security workflows and enable intelligent responses to validated vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, leveraging Python and Go.
  • Develop and maintain range infrastructure leveraging Terraform and virtualization software for continuous testing and simulation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security capabilities that align with user needs and meet high operational standards.
  • Work with diverse security tools and develop integration points within our product, supporting comprehensive security workflows.
  • Communicate security principles, functionality, and outcomes to non‑security stakeholders, helping them understand how the product’s security capabilities protect critical assets.
  • Work directly with end users to ensure that Method is meeting operational needs and solving real world problems.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in an infosec organization, with strong familiarity with security workflows, tools, and automation.
  • Proficiency in software development, particularly in automating and expanding security workflows within a product. Experience in Python and Go is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with various security tools, such as networking and penetration testing tools, and integrating these within scalable product solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of advanced security workflows, including vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection.
  • Ability to effectively communicate security‑related features and their impact to non‑security stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
  • Familiarity with container security, cloud security, or other infrastructure‑focused security domains.
  • Familiarity with application security domains.
