Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Logical Security Engineer to join our client's security team in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS mainframe security, access administration, and security compliance. This role is responsible for managing logical access controls, supporting security audits, and ensuring the integrity of the mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage security within IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
  • Configure and maintain RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret security policies and access controls.
  • Perform user and group administration, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications.
  • Manage dataset, resource, and subsystem security permissions.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and support security audits.
  • Monitor security logs and investigate access-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, application, and audit teams to resolve security concerns.
  • Document security procedures and maintain access control documentation.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe Security.
  • Expertise in RACF (or equivalent experience with ACF2 or Top Secret).
  • Experience with user/group administration and access management.
