Job description

Soni's client is looking for a hands-on Security Engineer to help advance security platforms, detections, automation, and cloud security capabilities across AWS, SaaS, and enterprise environments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building, tuning, and scaling modern security engineering practices-especially leveraging automation and AI-assisted development to improve detection and response.
Responsibilities:
• Own engineering execution across SIEM, SOAR, CSPM, EDR, SASE, and data security platforms
• Design and implement detections aligned to MITRE ATT&CK and evolving threat landscapes
• Build integrations, logging pipelines, and enrichment workflows across cloud and SaaS environments
• Develop SOAR playbooks and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Enhance AWS security posture across multi-account environments (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, CloudTrail, IAM)
• Expand observability, telemetry, and detection capabilities
• Integrate AI into security workflows to accelerate analysis and reduce manual effort
• Partner with cloud, identity, and application security teams to build scalable controls
Qualifications:
• 5+ years in security engineering, detection engineering, or advanced SecOps
• Strong experience with SIEM (Splunk preferred) and detection logic
• Deep AWS security engineering expertise
• Experience with SOAR and automation scripting
• Familiarity with SASE (SWG, CASB, ZTNA) and/or DSPM platforms
• Strong understanding of adversary TTPs and MITRE ATT&CK
• Curiosity for emerging tools-especially AI-assisted development-and a drive to stay ahead of the curve
• Ability to operate independently and deliver high-impact engineering work
Nice to Have:
• CSPM or DSPM engineering experience
• SASE platform implementation
• Security certifications (GIAC, AWS, CISSP, etc.)
• Experience with tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
Compensation: $100,000 to $130,00 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
