Job description

This position is in the Government Accountability Office (GAO), Infrastructure Operations. The employee serves as GAO's senior security and emergency management expert. The work involves planning, integrating and managing the full range of personnel, industrial, physical, and information security and emergency management services while continuously addressing requirements within the context of a long-term security strategy.Qualifications:Minimum Qualification Requirements:
One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND, MS-I, PT III, or GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as experience:
  • Overseeing and managing security and emergency management programs for a headquarters facility that houses multiple federal tenants such as coordinating safety, operations, and planning across all occupants and directing protection services and physical security programs.
  • Oversees the implementation of information and personnel security programs by assessing current and future security capabilities.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of security and emergency management specialists and subject matter experts.
  • Experience with Federal requirements and industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborates with key agency officials, internal and external stakeholders on strategic infrastructure objectives.
