Security Counselors are professionals who work to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in facilities such as mental health centers, juvenile detention centers, or residential treatment programs. They supervise residents or clients, help de-escalate conflicts, and provide support through counseling and guidance. Their role often involves monitoring behavior, implementing safety protocols, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a secure and supportive environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Security Counselor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Security Counselor, you need a background in criminal justice, psychology, or a related field, often supported by relevant certifications or degrees.
