Job description

HIRING Part-Time Concierge for Thornwood Apartments in Germantown

The Concierge is the first impression of the community and is responsible for providing superior customer service to residents. Duties include managing the front desk, greeting residents and visitors, monitoring surveillance cameras, and providing exemplary customer service.

We are currently hiring for two part-time schedules:

Position 1: Morning Shift

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Position 2: Evening & Weekend Shift

Two to three weekday evenings: 7:00 PM -11:00 PM
Saturdays and Sundays: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Weekend shifts rotate. For example, associates working the Friday evening shift will typically work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift on both Saturday and Sunday that weekend.

CONCIERGE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 2-4 years Concierge, Front Desk, or customer Service experience.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule; any day of the week including weekends.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, enthusiastic, resourceful.
  • Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Greets and assists residents and their guests in a courteous and efficient manner: and plays a vital role in ensuring the overall resident satisfaction.
  • Answer the telephone, provide information, forward calls and take messages as necessary.
  • Ensures the safety and security of the apartment community, by being aware and knowledgeable about who is entering and exiting the property; and ensures non-residents (e.g. guests, tradesmen, deliverymen, etc.) are approved by the resident or the management office.
  • Watch the surveillance cameras diligently to ensure no one is on property that should not be and no doors are propped open. Contact the police department as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
