Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Programs, Inc. (WPI) is seeking an Electronic Security Technician to join our team in Durham, NC.

Performs duties concerning the maintenance and repair of electronic physical security systems and components. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs airlock inspections and repairs
  • Performs gate inspections and minor repairs
  • Disables and enable fire system controls, and repairs as required,
  • Executes camera inspections and minor repairs, run true alarm reports,
  • Assist certified contractor with backflow and fire sprinkler inspections,
  • Facilitates fire alarm and sprinkler inspections by ensuring alarms are not activated during inspections,
  • Maintains and repairs electronic door strikes and closure repairs,
  • Performs handicap door operator, fire door, and rollup door inspections and minor repairs
  • Performs inspection and minor repairs for bollard and dock leveler equipment
  • Inspects and repairs duress station across a campus
Skills / Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience working on commercial and/or industrial electronic security systems
  • Licensing and/or certification preferred
