Job description

American Greetings is seeking a courteous, highly professional, and customer service focused Corporate Security Officer to join our team on third shift.
In this role, you will be scheduled from 10:50 pm - 7:10 am. As our Security Team is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this role includes working on weekends, on a rotating schedule.

This is a full time, benefits eligible position.
Compensation for this role is $17.00 per hour.
Our Security Team provides for protection of the company's associates, visitors, and assets

Officers will recognize unusual or threatening conditions and will take appropriate emergency action, including enforcement of laws, applicable company policies and procedures, monitoring and operation of fire & security equipment, parking / traffic control, and response to emergency calls: theft, medical, accidents, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Report / investigate incidents, liaison with law enforcement, fire department, FM Global.
Operate electronic access control, including daily / weekly / monthly reporting to various areas.
Heavy emphasis on specialized computer-based applications.
Monitor alarms for WHQ, plants and other company facilities.
Provide security for special events.
First responders for First Aid, CPR, AED, alarms, trespass, workplace violence, threats, fraud, etc.
Conduct security and safety tours (foot patrol of buildings and grounds).
Greet / process all visitors.
Use PPE and follow OSHA Guidelines as required.
Surveillance and security camera monitoring of various company facilities.
Operate security and fire alarm systems including inspections and testing (intrusion systems, access systems, camera systems, building tour, fire alarm panels, lighting, etc.)
Report fire and safety hazards, unsecured areas, maintenance issues, power outages, etc.
Complete special projects as directed.
